Bikes for Neighbors
Ways You Can Help
This program is possible by community contributions and we need your help! Please consider making a donation today to support bicycles for transportation. The Shenandoah Valley Bicycle Coalition is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization and will provide you with a tax receipt for your donation.
Have a bicycle to donate?
We’d love to give it new life! Please take it to the Gift and Thrift donation drop-off with a label that indicates you want it to go to Bikes for Neighbors. If you would like to let us know about your donation please fill out our donation drop off form.
Volunteer with our Bikes for Neighbors Classes
Are you a cyclist interested in teaching others how to bike safely? You can help teach hands-on bicycle classes with the participants. If you would like to teach but need some instruction to feel comfortable teaching new riders, the club sponsors teach-the-teacher classes for volunteers.
We are particularly in need of volunteers to teach who speak languages other than English. To best serve our community, we need to be able to communicate with participants and accommodate language needs within our program!
Pick up Bicycles
Do you have a vehicle that can fit bicycles? We need help shuttling bicycles around town for pickup, repair, or donation to our participants.
Recommend someone for the program!
