SAW Composite Mountain Bike Team
Open to elementary, middle, and high school students in Staunton, Augusta, and Waynesboro.
About the Team
SAW Composite Race Team is a youth mountain bike team open to all elementary, middle, and high school students in Staunton, Augusta County, and Waynesboro. The team competes in the Virginia High School Cycling League. The Virginia League is a member of the National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA).
SAW Composite has been getting local kids involved in mountain biking since 2017 — 2026 is our ninth year! Our coaches are NICA-licensed and NICA-trained volunteers guided by values of fun, inclusivity, respect, and community. Our focus is to provide kids with the option (and training) to race competitively, ride mountain bikes for fun and adventure, and engage in a healthy afterschool activity with their peers — competing in races is not required. There is no membership fee to join the team. Visit our team website at sawcomposite.org for the latest news and full details.
