Tuesday Night Black Dog Bikes Ride
Leaving from Black Dog Bikes in Staunton, this ride typically averages ~15mph at a no drop pace and 20-25 miles.

Wednesday Night Social Ride
Harrisonburg’s party-paced urban ride meets weekly at Court Square. “WNSR is a short, fun, no-drop, and, above all…SOCIAL ride! All people, all bikes are welcome. This ride only exists because of the bike culture here in Harrisonburg that has grown through outreach, inclusion, and respect. This ride strives to be a safe and open space for everyone. “Friday Fatty” Mountain Bike Ride, hosted by Shenandoah Bicycle Company
The “Friday Fatty” ride is perfect for mountain biking enthusiasts. It presents a unique experience as the terrain varies each week. Riders can expect challenges that test their skills while enjoying the thrill of mountain biking in the stunning Shenandoah Valley.
This local tradition ride leaves SBC every Friday at 3PM or meets at a designated trail head ready to ride at 4PM.
This ride not only offers physical challenges but also opportunities to bond with fellow cyclists over shared experiences on the trails.
This ride is among the popular weekly community events that cyclists look forward to.
Rides typically are 2 1/2-4 hours in duration with a moderate to higher degree of difficulty of technical riding.

Saturday Morning Ride, hosted by Shenandoah Bicycle Company
The Saturday Morning Ride hosted by Shenandoah Bicycle Company is a staple for many local riders. It provides an excellent opportunity for intermediate cyclists to push themselves while enjoying the camaraderie of fellow bike enthusiasts.
Our Saturday morning ride is another one of the fantastic weekly community events offered in the area.
This is an intermediate-paced road ride.
Join us for a group ride covering about 20-30 miles with an average pace of 12-14 mph. This is a no-drop ride, ensuring that all participants can complete the journey together. Riders will experience a mix of local county paved and dirt roads, which adds variety to the ride.
Length: 1.5-2 hours, 20-30 miles

Mole Hill Bikes, Group Ride on Road/Gravel
For those looking for a different pace, the Mole Hill Bikes Group Ride provides an alternative experience every Monday evening. This is a fantastic way to kick off the week with fellow cyclists.
Their Monday evening rides leave the shop every Monday Evening at 6pm, weather permitting, providing a consistent opportunity for riders to get out and enjoy the fresh air and beautiful surroundings.
Plan on roughly 20 miles of paved and unpaved roads around the Shenandoah Valley.
The ride leaves Mole Hill Bikes at 6:00 and the average pace is 14-16 mph.
The average pace of 14-16 mph is designed to challenge riders while still being accessible to those who are building their skills. The diverse route options ensure that you’ll never get bored.
Finding and following the rides on Strava is a great idea. It allows participants to explore new routes and connect with others who share a passion for cycling.

Purcell Parkrun
What is Purcell parkrun?
A free, fun, and friendly weekly 5k community event. Walk, jog, run, volunteer or spectate – it’s up to you!
When is it?
Every Saturday at 9:00am.
Where is it?
The event takes place at Purcell Park, 41 Monument Ave, Harrisonburg, VA 22801. See Course page for more details.
What does it cost to join in?
Nothing – it’s free! but please register before you first come along. Only ever register with parkrun once and don’t forget to bring a scannable copy of your barcode (request a reminder). If you forget it, you won’t get a time.
How fast do I have to be?
We all take part for our own enjoyment. Please come along and join in whatever your pace!
