Ramblewood Park recently underwent a planning cycle and now has a brand spanking new master plan. The Shenandoah Valley Bicycle Coalition is committed to expanding the off road bicycling opportunities in the city of Harrisonburg and is working closely with Harrisonburg Parks and Recreation to design and build these trails. Unlike Hillandale, Ramblewood has elevation change and a more mature wooded landscape. Eventually the Bluestone Trail will connect Ramblewood to Purcell Park and run parallel to I-81 all the way to JMU. Talk about bicycle/pedestrian connectivity!
