For the last five years, the Shenandoah Valley Bicycle Coalition has been giving back to mother earth by picking up trash in our precious George Washington National Forest on Earth Day. We’re making it six.
Saturday, April 20
Meet 8:15 am at Mr. J’s/Food Lion on 42 South or
9 am at Dog Grave Yard on Tillman Road.
(But come anytime-we’ll be there till noon, and we’ll make sure to save some trash just for you.)
Ride afterward, bring a bike.
Drinks provided.
And a scouting report from Marshall: “Marcia and I rode up Tillman yesterday, lots of work to be done and a rogue dump site with shingles and siding dumped. Trash galore.” Oh, goody!
See here for a post following last year’s cleanup. Yes, we used last year’s picture again 🙂
