New ACP routeThe Proposed pipeline that Dominion Energy has been working towards has created quite the controversy. Last week Dominion announced the another (third) new route. This time to avoid sensitive areas of the George Washington National Forest. However you feel about the pipeline, you should know what part of the valley it will impact. Look at the interactive Map.

From our friends at the Augusta County Alliance: “This newly proposed line does indeed go further south in Pocahontas Co., W.Va., into Highland Co. and then, for the first time, cuts across northern Bath County before turning north into Augusta. In Augusta the new route cuts right through the entire Deerfield Valley until it joins with the existing proposed route in West Augusta. From there it continues with no changes across the county, crossing into Nelson under the Blue Ridge Parkway at Reids Gap. Although a couple of miles of the Augusta route were removed from West Augusta to the Highland line, this new route would ADD even more miles to the Augusta route.”
