Volunteers are needed for the second annual Youth TryAthlon, sponsored by Harrisonburg Parks and Recreation, for the August 8 event in two shifts: 7:45am-10:30am and/or 9:45am-noon. We need about 25 volunteers to help make this a success. Please let Becky know if you can help by emailing Becky Johnston at with your availability. If you know of other groups or individuals who might be able to help out please let her know.
As a volunteer you will be helping to ensure safety and reduce any confusion along the bike route within the Sunset Heights neighborhood. It is a fun event that gets kids on bikes, so let’s support it!

This event is geared toward being an introduction to triathlons in hopes that youth continue to participate in these activities. The focus of this event is completion over competition. All finishers receive a finisher medal. This event is open to ages 5-17.
$30 per participant, registration deadline is July 30, 2015 or when the maximum participant limit is reached. Event Website
