“With the holidays, other family commitments, cold, rainy weather and other stuff it had been since the end of November that we had been able to get out for a bikepacking trip. Both Johnny and I were off from work, there were 4 inches of snow on the ground and with a couple more forecast overnight it was time to head off to the woods for out first trip in the snow. Figuring that there was a bunch more snow up high on the mountains, and that roads/forest roads/trails would be pretty impassable with loaded bikes, we decided to stay low and head over to Braleys Pond to spend the night. . . . ”
