Here are the details:

  • Bike racks are manufactured locally by Shickel Corporation in Bridgewater
  • Bike racks are the inverted U style, like the one pictured above and as shown in this cut sheet.
  • Each bike rack can be ordered as 1-loop, 2-loop, 3-loop, or 4-loop bike racks. (Note: 1-loop bike racks must be mounted to stand up. Other bike racks can stand on their own without mounting.)
  • Cost of bike racks vary depending on the type of bike rack, and total number of racks ordered in this combined order. A minimum combined order of 5 bike racks is required for this pricing. If more than 10 are ordered, the price gets better. Costs listed below were received in May 2015, and are provided as a guide. Prices may change slightly for Fall 2015 and will be confirmed with Shickel once interest from buyers received.
    • 1-loop bike rack – $239-$218 per rack
    • 2-loop bike rack – $361-336 per rack
    • 3-loop bike rack – $463-$420 per rack
    • 4-loop bike rack – $556-510 per rack
  • Shickels will invoice each purchaser directly. Thanh will provide Shickels with your contact and order information.
  • Bike racks will be delivered by Shickels to one central location in Harrisonburg and buyers must provide for pick up in Harrisonburg (or can arrange to pick up at Shickels in Bridgewater)
  • Plan for 36-inches of distance between all sides of the bike rack to any wall, street, or other obstacle to provide room for bikes and the a person to walk around to lock their bike.
  • Buyer is responsible for installation of the bike rack.
