When you give to the Shenandoah Valley Bicycle Coalition, you're not just supporting an organization. You're building a Valley where movement is joyful, affordable, and accessible to everyone.
We build and maintain trails across national forests, community parks, and between towns—creating paths that invite every person to move freely through the Valley.
We advocate for protected crossings, bike lanes, and traffic calming near schools—so parents can trust their kids can ride freely and safely every day.
A bike is a job interview, a doctor's visit, an afternoon with your kids. Each year we donate working bikes to Valley residents who need them most—because movement should be free for everyone.
For a refugee family in Harrisonburg, a donated bike meant getting to work. For a teenager in Broadway, it meant getting to school safely. For a senior in Staunton, it meant independence.
Through Bikes for Neighbors, the Coalition donates working bikes to Valley residents who need them most—removing one of the most common barriers to active transportation and daily life.
“Movement should be free for everyone—not just people who can afford a car.”
Monthly Giving
Monthly givers are the backbone of everything we build. When you give monthly, you're playing the long game—trails close to home for kids, safer streets for people who can't afford a car, a Valley where active transportation is the default, not an afterthought.
That's what Trailblazers make possible.
