What You’re Riding Into
The Massanutten Western Slope trail system sits just outside Harrisonburg, Virginia, on land owned by Massanutten Resort. Thirty miles of hand-built singletrack wind through mature hardwood forest, across mountain streams, and up to ridgeline overlooks with sweeping views of the Shenandoah Valley.
Trails run beginner to expert. Families bring kids on the Pond Loop (4.2 mi) and Creekside Loop (2.1 mi). Intermediate riders find flow on the cross-country connectors. Advanced riders target 500+ feet of downhill vertical, rock gardens, and jump trails. Trail runners and hikers are welcome on all trails.

Your Pass Funds the Trails
The Western Slope system sits on private Massanutten Resort land, built and maintained by the Shenandoah Valley Bicycle Coalition. Trail Pass revenue is the engine that keeps the trails running:
- New trail construction and re-routes
- Machine hours (trail dozer, excavator)
- Hand tools for work crews
- Chainsaw training and volunteer support
A 30+ year partnership — the Hoo-Ha Mountain Bike Race in 1989 was the first event here. Over 1,000 community voices shaped the current master plan. Your day pass keeps that legacy alive.
