The DR100 does it again!

We first wrote about the DR100 charity ride here, and we’ve written about the innovative driver’s education program at local high schools that incorporates bicycles here and here.

Now, thanks to the hard work of the DR100, Rockingham County Schools will receive another $10,000 to purchase bikes for high school students to learn how to drive/bike safely.  Our local paper reports:

HARRISONBURG – Cycling safety advocacy group DR100 has been awarded nearly $10,000 to provide bicycles for use at East Rockingham High School.

Merck & Co. Inc. provided a $9,800 grant to the organization to expand a driver’s education program that originated at Turner Ashby High School . . .
