Only 17 percent of mountain bikers in the U.S. are women, and within the Coalition community, ~30 percent are women.

Huge thanks to our JOYRIDE photographers — Brooke Imber and Rachel Mae — they always know how to make folks feel comfortable, capture the little moments of magic, and get those beautiful shots that we always appreciate (but can never quite capture on a phone!) while riding.

The day included professional clinics by Hilary Marques, Marley Creasey and Kelly Hazelgrove, Massanutten Mountain Biking shuttles, demo bikes by Lauf Cycles, group rides, lunch and snacks, NA beers by @bestdaybrewing , gear swap, mocktail tastings, a raffle, and a bumping base camp with a fire, music, and smores on a beautiful fall day.
As always, we are so so grateful for all the volunteers, sponsors, coaches and folks who made this possible!

When we first launched JOYRIDE in 2024, an all-day women’s and girls’ mountain biking event at the Western Slope, the event was about creating pathways for more women and girls to get into the sport and enjoy it for life.
With over 100 women and girls coming out again this year, it was evident how important it is to create uplifting, encouraging, and inclusive spaces for all people, especially women and girls, to celebrate riding together, learning, and fostering friendships.
