Meet Our Board Candidates
Your Bicycle Coalition relies on our Board of Directors to help steer and guide the organization as we work towards our mission to Build Better Communities in the Valley and ensure everyone in the Valley can comfortably and easily walk and bike as part of their daily life. The Board consists of up to eleven directors serving a three-year term.

Andy Stravers (Running for a first term)
The Shenandoah Valley Bicycle Coalition is doing profoundly important work. Connecting people to their schools, places of work and commerce, and providing a means for healthy lifestyle through recreation is a mission I wholeheartedly believe in. As an educator, father, avid runner, hiker, and cyclist I believe I can contribute to this mission in a positive and impactful way. I am excited to help transform our community into a place where each and every person has access to a safe and enjoyable experience, whether walking to school, biking to work, or running a trail.
Taylor Evans (Running for first term)
I’ve been a resident of the Valley for 13 years – in that time I have significantly benefitted from all the work the cycling community and the Coalition have put in over decades and it feels important to give back. I have a background in regional land conservation work, agriculture, and ecology. Exploring our roads and trails by bike is how I keep my head on straight and experience the incredible landscape I find myself privileged enough to call home.
You’ll find me zipping around town, on long rides through the county, or crawling along the trails at the Western Slope or in the National Forest. I think bikes are perfect tools to connect to each other and connect to place, I look forward to serving the community in whatever ways make those connections stronger and more possible.
