What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a contractor with:
Proven shared-use, backcountry trail construction portfolio
Mechanized equipment suitable for narrow, rugged terrain
Familiarity with federal trail specs and environmental BMPs
Bidders must be licensed in Virginia and fully insured. Trail contractors will need to navigate steep slopes, rock outcroppings, and tight environmental tolerances to create something both rugged and welcoming—for riders, hikers, and equestrians alike.
