The Festival is held at the beautiful Stokesville Campground, a spectacular venue with mountains as a backdrop and riding right out the gate.
The festival is a 100% volunteer festival. Meaning it is put on 100% by volunteers and 100% of participants volunteer.
The October Bicycle Coalition Board meeting has been moved to Wednesday October 10 at 5:30 in the Hub Co-working conference room
The Women on Wheels (hailing from Harrisonburg and surrounding areas) have adopted the Rocktown Trails at Hillandale Park. Our adoption means we are working to keep the trails open for all users and the trails need your help.
A very rainy summer has left us more than our usual high grass sections and “problem” puddles. Significant trail grooming and mud puddle repairs are overdue.
Grab your gloves, pruners, loppers and limber up your strong hands as we will tackle some muddy sections, cut back the tall grass, fight invasive plant species and keep sight lines open (so you can see around corners). There is truly something for everyone at Hillandale!
Please consider joining us at one of the following mini trail work sessions:
Wed. Sept. 12: 3-6 p.m.
Wed. Sept. 19: 9-12 p.m.
Sat. Sept. 22: 9-12 p.m.
Tues. Oct. 2: 4-7 p.m.
Thurs. Oct. 11: 4-7 p.m.
We will meet at the bottom of the Power Line Trail. This is not exclusively for women-only, we’ll take help from anyone who wants to join us!

You’ve heard the news! The Shenandoah Valley Bicycle Coalition recently hired our first-ever Executive Director. We want to not only celebrate this achievement but we also want you to come out to meet the Executive Director and the folks who serve on the Board of Directors for the Coalition.
We want to chat with you, get your ideas, perspective, and thoughts on where the organization has been and where you think it should be going. Got an idea for bicycling in our area? Come out and let us know.
***Not a Bicycle Coalition Event***
Join Shenandoah Bicycle Company on Thursday, October 18th for our Fall Maintenance Clinic #2. We will be diving into the big, sometimes scary monster that is the bicycle’s drivetrain.
Some say their car drives better when it’s clean. Well, factually your bike performs better when all of the moving parts are clean, healthy and properly adjusted. You’ll walk away with the confidence to properly diagnose and adjust your drivetrain in the field, city or wherever your bike takes you. Below are a few topics that will be covered:
-In Depth Drivetrain Cleaning
-How to adjust Limit Screws
-How to ID Derailleur Alignment issues
-Basic Derailleur Adjustments
light snacks will be provided!
