From Brother’s Brewing:
June’s Casks for a Cause will be benefiting Harrisonburg City Safe Routes to School and RCPS Safe Routes to School, non-profit programs that support active transportation for local K-8 public school students.

From physical to environmental health, walking and biking offers a multitude of benefits. Safe Routes to School (SRTS) is a multifaceted program dedicated to encouraging, supporting, increasing, and improving active transportation for public K-8 students.

Through strong local partnerships between the schools, the city and county (Public Safety, Public Works), Sentara RMH, VDOT, and the community, SRTS uses a comprehensive approach from education to infrastructure to help make walking and rolling to school safer and more accessible for everyone!

SRTS is grateful for the time, energy, and expertise given by members of the Shenandoah Valley Bicycle Coalition (SVBC). Their guidance and assistance has helped support the program and it’s growth.

The funds raised will assist with the purchasing and maintenance of equipment (bikes, helmets, stationary trainers, etc.) and the purchasing of educational and promotional materials including incentive items for our rewards program.

With the current guidelines of Governor Northam’s Phase 2, we will have…
-The beer available pints for on site consumption, and 32 oz grunt fills to go from 1-10 pm. The beer is limited to 5 gallons so grab a pint while it lasts!
-For those practicing social distancing, we will be offering grunt fills through walk-in purchase or our #BrosThru curbside service.
-For onsite consumption, you will be able to enjoy a pint in our taproom or on the patio under Phase 2 guidelines and restrictions.
-We will have a silent auction for the framed event poster.
-Safe Routes has found MANY generous donors for additional silent auctions! We will start adding these items in the discussion below as they are solidified.

Plus, we will have LIVE MUSIC outside from Jacob Paul Allen. JPA is a singer/songwriter from the Blue Ridge mountains of Nelson County, Virginia. His storytelling and melodies plant him firmly under the umbrella of “Americana” music. His songs have strong Country Roots with doses of Folk, Rock and Bluegrass.

Come out to help out this wonderful cause by buying a pint from their cask and participating in the silent auction for the framed poster for the event. All proceeds from the cask and the silent auction will go to Safe Routes to Schools and their cause.
