General Assembly Preview

Join conservation advocates in the Valley on December 7 from 9am-noon at JMU’s Ice House in Harrisonburg to learn about legislative action anticipated in the 2025 General Assembly that affects our land, water and communities in Virginia.
This is a great opportunity to hear from statewide environmental experts and meet other groups and individuals working here in the Valley to make our cities, towns and villages more vibrant, preserve our working farmland, and ensure clean water for future generations.

The Alliance for the Shenandoah Valley is partnering with Shenandoah Valley Bicycle Coalition to host a breakfast watch-party viewing of Virginia Conservation Network‘s (VCN) speaker lineup in Richmond.
We’ll have an opportunity to discuss Valley-specific topics including updates on our new state districts, efforts in local transportation & clean water, and the latest on the Shenandoah Rail Trail.
