Meet the Board and ED #2
Oct 17 @ 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm

First beer is on us!

You’ve heard the news! The Shenandoah Valley Bicycle Coalition recently hired our first-ever Executive Director. We want to not only celebrate this achievement but we also want you to come out to meet the Executive Director and the folks who serve on the Board of Directors for the Coalition.

We want to chat with you, get your ideas, perspective, and thoughts on where the organization has been and where you think it should be going. Got an idea for bicycling in our area? Come out and let us know.

Join us on Saturday, October 20th for an overnight bikecamping trip to Stokesville Campground!

We will leave from SBC at 12PM on Saturday. The shop opens at 9AM, so show up early if you need to pick up supplies, fill your bottles with beer/acai, or if you know you’re just the kind of person who will spend two hours strapping stuff onto your bike! We will leave at 12PM sharp.

Depending on the turnout, we will either head out as a group, or split up into smaller groups, if it’s more practical. On Sunday, riders will be responsible for their own transport back to town, but there will undoubtedly be a few small groups that form up for the trip back.

This is an inclusive ride, however prior cycling experience and a tested setup is recommended. The route out is about twenty miles of pavement, with some gravel. You should be comfortable carrying all of your own gear and supplies for overnight camping. Expect hills!

Stokesville Market is 1/4 of a mile from the campground. They have running water and are well stocked with basic foodstuffs.

Campground costs will be covered by SBC.

If you intend on coming, PLEASE leave a message here or shoot us an email, so we can plan accordingly.

Our last trip was a blast, so let’s get another winner in the books. Come hangout by a campfire, share tales with fellow bicycle-travelers, and enjoy a night under the stars.
